LCB Senior Living Celebrates Dedication and Groundbreaking Ceremony for The Residence at Summer Street in Stamford, CT
On November 15th, The Residence at Summer Street (www.residencesummerstreet.com), owned and operated by LCB Senior Living and located at 14 2nd Street in Stamford, CT, held a dedication and groundbreaking ceremony for the community. Set to open in Summer 2018, the community will offer the area’s finest independent, assisted, and memory care living residences for seniors.
Over 50 attendees gathered at the event, including LCB associates from the company home office and several of their communities, associates from local senior living and care providers, community investors, local media and town and state officials. The ceremony featured several speakers, including Stamford Mayor David Martin, Stamford City Representative John Zelinksy, LCB CEO Michael Stoller, and Summer Street Executive Director Terry Jackson.
Independent Living residents at the Residence at Summer Street will have their own apartment with kitchenette and bath, along with the peace of mind of 24-hour security, three gourmet meals prepared and served restaurant style on-site, available laundry and cleaning services, a full resident engagement program, building and grounds maintenance, and a host of optional services. Assisted Living residents will have all of the above, along with assistance with the activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing medication reminders, and other services.
The community will also include LCB’s Reflections Memory Care services for residents with early stage Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments. In addition to offering sophisticated cognitive programming and a range of daily services, Reflections is a secure, safe environment with its own common areas, walking courtyard, and other amenities. All programming was developed in collaboration with the Harvard Medical School, McLean Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
