I have been a resident here for almost three months, and I cannot say enough positive things about this facility and its staff.
My power of attorney, as well as my aide, are both very pleased to be part of such a beautiful, comfortable, professional, and well-managed community.
Before moving here, I spent a long time in another setting and did not believe there could be a place that truly cared for residents across independent living, assisted living, and memory care, while still creating a genuine feeling of home. This community has exceeded those expectations.
Our decision to move here began with Danielle, who spoke to us with the warmth and pride of someone describing her own home and family. We were equally impressed by Catherine, who seemed to know everyone and resolved issues before they could become problems.
The residents here appear happy and well cared for, and the waiting list is a testament to the outstanding quality of this facility. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering senior living options.
I am the POA for a recent resident. She has only been there for five weeks. During this time and prior to her move in, the staff has gone over and beyond to be helpful. I find it to be very well run compared to the facility she was in prior to moving to The Residence. I would definitely recommend having had experience with several other facilities in the area. So far, they have gotten an A+.
The entire staff was welcoming and friendly from the moment my mother and I entered the property.

Moving my mother into The Residence at Bala Cynwyd was the best decision that my family made. Meeting with Catherine and Danielle to select a room and learn about the facility set the tone for the beginning of a wonderful experience! They were both very professional, warm, welcoming and provided great assistance in the move. In fact, Catherine even was hands on in helping me the day of the move. Both woman are wonderful assets to the Residence. The Chef, the care staff, the activity director and administration all take great pride in their jobs and are friendly and extremely competent. It is a pleasure speaking and working with everyone at The Residence at Bala Cynwyd with the care of my mother!!

My mother in law has been in The Residence at Bala for over a year. When she entered the facility, she was still recovering from a serious injury. From the first day she arrived, it was clear that this was going to be not only a positive experience, but also transformational to her health and wellbeing.
The facility is located in a great area on the Main Line. The interior feels more like a luxury condo building than an assisted living facility. The common areas are modern and comfortable. There are beautiful plantings, cut flowers and art all over the property.
Mom's unit is bright, quiet and very comfortable. There is a movie theatre/lecture room down the hall. Washer and dryer are available on her floor.
I ate a few meals in the dining room. There is an extensive regular menu plus specials every day. The food is great. Mom also loves the activities which are interesting and engaging.
I can honestly say that we cannot imagine a better place for mom. So happy to have found it!

Catherine Heinemann, Bala’s Customer Experience Coordinator, is a human ray of sunshine. This facility and its residents are so lucky to have Catherine! Her deep care is felt by all who come into The Residence. A true gem of a person.
The staff at RBC have a great, long-term, and individualized approach to every resident. They understand the stresses on each (and their families) as these senior journeys progress and evolve. They are approachable and constructive, and are great at educating all of us as to best help our loved ones, which frequently is not the intuitive path. Our family member who resides at RBC is in very good hands. And P.S., the facility looks just like the pictures and is maintained flawlessly, the food is both varied and delicious, and the activities and outings are very engaging.
My Mom, Cheryl Ann Nevison and my Dad, David Nevison and I have been very impressed with The Residence at Bala Cynwyd. Even more impressive is how the entire staff have taken such good care of him, with great respect. We are all very happy that he is in such a wonderful place
Bala is a great community! My parents live there, and I’ve noticed a big difference since the new Executive Director came on board. He’s super involved, checks in often, and you can tell he really cares. The nursing team is awesome, always kind and on top of things. Overall, the place just feels more positive and well-run lately. After visiting 7 facilities, we chose The Residence at Bala Cynwyd which is a recently-built community. Mom couldn't be happier. The staff is responsive, skilled, friendly and professional. The units are modern and quiet with lots of natural light. The restaurant is exceptional - with large menu, daily specials and 3 meals provided any time between 7 and 7. The many daily activities are varied, interesting and fun. There are exercise classes every day for residents of all levels. The Residence feels like a luxury apartment building more than an assisted living facility!
The Residence is a bit more expensive than other facilities, but it is so worth it....
Update 6/25 - Mom loves this place... I know she loves it because when I call her she is never in her apartment!!! I've had the pleasure of meeting many of the residents who each have fascinating stories. The staff is kind, engaging, funny and takes great care of the residents. Love this place!
Residence at Bala Cynwyd -
I had recently visited a relative (Aunt)). I had bumped into Ken the Executive Director and Toni the Resident Care Director while visiting. They were both kind and courteous from the time I met them. They were speaking to a resident who was upset about something with such compassion and care that it caught my attention. They both turned the residents frustration into joy. It warmed my heart.
The amenities and engagement are amazing for loved ones. The feeling of home is immeasurable. Thank you to Danielle, Catherine, Ken, Carin, Erin, Toni, Mark, Julia, Sadiq and the entire team for all you do!
Arnedra and the entire nursing team at The Residence at Bala Cynwyd are outstanding. They are caring, professional, and always go above and beyond for the residents. I am so grateful for the excellent care and communication they provide every day!
This community is a true gem. I've been in many communities over the years (as both a healthcare and non-healthcare vendor) and it's rare to see such happy and positive staff. They are truly engaged with the residents and not on their cell phones. I work directly with the residents teaching yoga and natural body product making classes and they seem truly happy and enriched. This is a testament to all the staff, but I can say specifically that Activities Director Julia Jackson is dedicated to enriching their lives: Mind, Body and Spirit. The Residence at Bala has gorgeous aesthetics, indoor and outdoor, but its quality goes well beyond the stunning decor.

As a nearly 2-year veteran of The Residence At Bala Cynwyd, I feel qualified to say that our Engagement Director, Julia Jackson, is in and of herself, reason enough to come live here and enjoy the experience. She’s just a delightful person to be around!
We had a wonderful experience at the Residence for my mother, who entered as a short term hospice resident (partnering in care with Penn Hospice) and lived there for 4 months. While living there, my Mother, myself and my family were always treated with the utmost respect and care, particularly at the end of her time. We always had productive and pleasant interactions with the team there - Catherine, Colleen, Toni, Ken, Arnedra, Marc and many many others - there are so many standout care and dining staff. We were always impressed by the activity schedule, social/happy hours, huge menu offerings and the building itself has so many beautiful spaces for the family to spend time there and dine when visiting. We will always look back on our time there as a blessing and grateful that we found Bala, particularly after touring several other local assisted living facilities.

Something special about this place! I toured The Residence at Bala Cynwyd with my grandmother who suffers from lymphedema. Lately, she has been struggling living at home by herself. We spent the entire tour admiring EVERYTHING - the staff, the food, the rooms, the cleanliness, the activities - every single thing was incredible. It's hard to please my grandmother, but this place definitely did...

The food was very good and the spaces were designed with high quality materials. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families. My mother stayed for one month of recovery from a fall and it was great for her. I'd say it's perfect if you want a small, high quality community with a lot of different levels of assistance possible

We toured The Residence at Bala Cynwyd. It's very new and very nice. Even for wheelchair access, everything's level, and there are no stairs to worry about. It has a lot of activities for seniors. The place has only been six months. The staff was fine. Their floor plan was nice. They have a library, a bar, and an area to watch TV. We had a fruit plate, and it was not a regular meal, but it was good.

Friendly staff all around. I found amenities and activities to be varied and targeted toward the resident’s interests and likes. Options for meals are outstanding. Ensuring the resident’s needs and safety is the number 1 priority. Colleen Grove, Sales Specialist, is a pleasure to work with, she is knowledgeable, and honest. This is a newer facility that is modern, clean, bright, and inviting.
Just want to give a special mention that Toni Flowers, Resident Care Director @ at The Residence at Bala Cynwyd, has shown our family the utmost consideration and prompt response time when given many questions and general issues to sort out. Our Dad is a newer resident of the Reflections Community so initially, there were many adjustments to make and Toni's efforts in coordinating his daily care and assessments were vital to our family feeling like the choice to place Dad at this CCR was the best overall.
The nurses, administration and staff at Residence at Bala have been extremely helpful in caring for my mother-in-law. They are communicative and go out of their way to help.
She is in the memory unit but still has regular access to the outdoors on their secured patio.

Beautiful building and excellent activities, food, etc.
My father is in the memory care and the staff on that floor are very attentive and caring. Scary never knowing what you will get when moving a parent into an elder-care residence, but this has exceeded our expectations. The only uneasiness is the mix of the MC residents and their level of dementia, having experienced aggressiveness towards my dad from other MC residents. But even that is tamed by the attentive staff.

My mother moved in to the memory unit in [date removed]. The staff had been friendly and communicative. The unit floor is spacious and well lit with sunlight, so it has a warm feeling.
There seem to be w good number of activities going on like coloring, puzzles, and reading. Parking for visits is readily available.
This community has been such a pleasure to work in with focus on the quality of life for our Residents.

While searching for a new residence for my dad's I was fortunate enough to encounter Amy. After a snowfall, I entered the office and was greeted with a wonderful hello and smile that remained genuine during the upcoming months of our communications. I was provided with transparent information regarding floor plans, amenities, finances, construction updates, and residential community events. If there was ever a question, communication with simple - text or email and a response was quick to follow. Although we chose a different route for his residence the experience was eye opening, very informative and full of laughs.

It was a great experience visiting the Residence Inn leasing office. Any was absolutely thorough in the information about the facility and did not miss any detail. She also offered options for assistance in the interim of the facility opening. Pleasant and accommodating is an understatement! You can already feel the care and concern that this facility will offer your family members in the future.

I had the pleasure of meeting Danya Glantz last March soon after my father died, leaving my 86-year-old mother, a widow. I visited many of the assisted living communities in our area, and chose The Residence as the best option for my mother, largely because of Danya, and the personalized care that Danya assured me my mother would receive once she moves in. Danya has gone beyond the call of duty to check in on my mother as we await the opening of The Residence. She has suggested many activities for my mother to keep her physically and mentally active and healthy including, physical and occupational therapy, and enrollment in The Abramson Healthy Brain and Memory Center. Danya is an expert on senior living and its many challenges. I feel fortunate to have met her during this difficult time, and I feel most confident about moving my mother into The Residence, under Danya's professional and caring supervision.
