June 18, 2015—DARTMOUTH, MA. More than 200 people gathered at The Residence at Cedar Dell Thursday evening to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of Dartmouth’s finest assisted living and memory care community for seniors. Area officials and residents, staff associates, community residents and LCB Senior Living associates joined in celebration, culminating in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Since the community was acquired by LCB Senior Living in early 2014, a sweeping renovation and updating of the community has taken place that includes the addition of a second elevator, new paint, carpets, window treatments and flooring, and a broad array of other enhancements. In all, the renovation effort cost in excess of a million dollars.
The Residence at Cedar Dell is a beautiful community offering seniors a unique combination of quiet, suburban living and access to the area’s many resources and attractions. The community includes 78 Independent, Assisted and Memory Care Living apartments. Independent Living residents at the community have their own apartment with kitchenette and bath, along with the peace of mind of 24-hour security, three gourmet meals prepared and served restaurant style on-site, available laundry and cleaning services, a full activities program, building and grounds maintenance, and a host of optional services. Assisted Living residents will have all of the above, along with assistance with the activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing medication reminders, and other services.
In his remarks, LCB Senior Living CEO Michael A. Stoller said: “We are thrilled to formally re-open The Residence at Cedar Dell. We have completely updated one of the area’s finest senior communities, which when coupled with its large green campus, and proximity to downtown Dartmouth, the southeast coast, the Cape and islands, and many other amenities, offers local seniors the best of all worlds.”
The Residence at Cedar Dell also includes LCB’s Reflections Memory Care services for residents with early stage Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments. In addition to offering sophisticated cognitive programming and a range of daily services, Reflections is a secure, safe environment with its own common areas, walking courtyard, and other amenities.
