The Residence at South Windsor Farms Opens
March 6, 2015—SOUTH WINDSOR, CONNECTICUT. LCB Senior Living, LLC has announced that The Residence at South Windsor Farms (www.residencesouthwindsor.com), located at 200 Deming Street in South Windsor, CT, has completed construction and is now open and offering modern Independent, Assisted and Reflections Memory Care living to area seniors. The first wave of residents has already moved in, and the community is busy making ready as the building continues to fill.
The Residence at South Windsor Farms is a unique community, offering seniors a sophisticated, country setting at the crossroads leading to Hartford and all of the area’s rich cultural and social resources. Featuring a refined style, the building offers a blend of convenience, service and proximity that few others can match.
Located at the intersection of Deming Street and Buckland Road, The Residence at South Windsor Farms lies on a green, wooded parcel that was once part of Connecticut’s proud farming tradition.
The community’s Executive Director Amber Braman commented, “We’ve spent the past year meeting and becoming a part of this wonderful community, and we’re thrilled to open our doors to the friends that we’ve made. This is a place where residents can check the concerns of home ownership at the door, and begin focusing on the things that make them happy.”
The Residence at South Windsor Farms includes 80 Independent, Assisted and Memory Care Living apartments. Independent Living residents at the community will have their own apartment with kitchenette and bath, along with the peace of mind of 24-hour security, three gourmet meals prepared and served restaurant style on-site, available laundry and cleaning services, a full activities program, building and grounds maintenance, and a host of optional services. Assisted Living residents will have all of the above, along with assistance with the activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing medication reminders, and other services.
The Residence at South Windsor Farms will also include LCB’s Reflections Memory Care services for residents with early stage Alzheimer’s disease and other memory impairments. In addition to offering sophisticated cognitive programming and a range of daily services, Reflections is a secure, safe environment with its own common areas, walking courtyard, and other amenities.
All of the community’s programs benefit from LCB’s partnership with Harvard Medical School and Brigham & Women’s Hospital.
LCB Senior Living (www.lcbseniorliving.com) was founded in 2010 by the management team of the former Newton Senior Living, LLC (NSL). NSL was one of the first assisted living developers and operators in Massachusetts, and was the 16th-largest assisted living company in the United States when it was sold to a division of Lazard Freres in 2005. Headquartered in Norwood, MA, LCB currently operates eleven communities in four New England states, and is in the process of developing several more.
