Costs

When deciding on a senior living option, there are many things that contribute to the value you receive for your monthly rent. While there are tangible benefits such as a private apartment, three chef-prepared meals per day, transportation, daily engagement activities, 24-hour staffing and security and more, there are many less tangible but highly valuable aspects as well.

We specialize in providing expert Assisted Living services. From support with activities of daily living (ADL) such as walking escorts, bathing, dressing or toileting, to more extensive needs, we tailor care to each individual to make life easier and more fulfilling.

A Place for Mom

The time had come for my 87-year-old aunt to sell her home and move into an Independent Living setting. She had been living alone for nearly 50 years, but realized that was not a long-term option. We had toured a nearby larger community a few years ago, my aunt placed a deposit and was on a waiting list. She later changed her mind, saying that the facility felt too “institutional”. My wife and I live a few minutes from Melrose Station, so we went to take a tour without my aunt. We were so impressed! The facility is gorgeous, kept immaculate, and has that “just right” feel to it. It is also very “homey”. My aunt first moved in for a “respite” 30 day stay in November. We hoped that she would like it and agree to become a permanent resident. Mission accomplished! She loves it, the staff, the food, the ambience:) Family members who visit rave about it as well. My aunt tells me that she can’t believe how happy she is there, and thoroughly enjoys her new social circle.

Choosing a place for my father-in-law to live when he could no longer stay at home was not an easy task. On paper and during telephone interviews, most facilities appear to have what is needed. However, visits often proved just the opposite. The Residences at Melrose Station delivered the product we needed to be comfortable he was in a caring and well maintained environment. The staff quickly learned his name and his likes and dislikes. He has engaged in activities and is enjoy the experience. Is it the same as living in your own home? Of course not. But the quality of the product they provide is far superior to other facilities we visited.

My mom lives in the memory care unit which is absolute wonderful to her! The staff is caring and kind and her personal care and room are well taken care of. She lived in independent living and moved over about a year ago and I was very nervous since it’s a hard step. I am very pleased, if you are going through this this home is wonderful.

I visited this facility The Residence at Melrose Station was awesome. It's luxury senior living. It's for profit, but it's beautiful. It has everything anybody could really want if they can afford it. I liked everything about it. They have lots of activities. They have different things coming in from week to week that are entertaining from the outside, like concerts. In the summertime they have a garden that they can do out on the deck. They have exercise classes and they have a happy hour every day at 4:00. There was nothing really negative about it. The staff is all very pleasant and very caring. They have a hair salon and they have a workout area that's like a gym.

My grandmother moved in back in September 2023 and we love it here. The staff is absolutely incredible. When she needed rehab, the nurses jumped through hoops to advocate for her-helped with securing resources she needed to come home. I was very thankful to all the staff members who helped us after she had surgery. The dining staff remember her preferences and greet us everyday with a smile. I eat with her at least 5x a week because I enjoy seeing her everyday, and I can attest to the quality of the food. The food is very good with extensive options. The location is also very convenient for a caregiver - proximity to Shaw’s, hospital and library, makes my life easier when I need to help her. 5/5 stars.

Having a loved one moving on to their next chapter of life can be a difficult and stressful experience for the entire family. From our very first tour we knew that The Residence at Melrose Station was a special place. The leadership team and staff made us feel welcome from the very beginning. The staff has done an excellent job making our mom feel at home. They check in with her often to make sure she is doing okay and acclimating to her new home. There is a very positive atmosphere and the staff is kind, caring and compassionate. My mom looks forward to the daily activities sheet that comes out each morning - her favorite is the happy hour! It gives our family great peace of mind that she is happy in her new home, and is safe and well taken care of. We are lucky there are people like the team at The Residence. Thank you from our entire family!
