The Residence at Freeman Lake is really a great place. Every time I walk in the front door all the residents are smiling and happy, there is always something going on like live music in the main room or other activities. One thing I always notice is that it always smells nice and is very clean!

It’s disheartening to read some of the negative reviews because my family’s experience at Freeman Lake has been nothing but positive. My grandmother has been a resident here, and the care and support she has received have been truly exceptional. The staff consistently go above and beyond to ensure her well-being and happiness, showing her kindness, respect, and genuine compassion every step of the way. From the warm smiles that greet her every day to the thoughtful attention to her specific needs, it’s clear that the team at Freeman Lake is deeply committed to providing the best possible environment for their residents. My family and I feel a tremendous sense of relief and gratitude knowing she is in such good hands.

I am SO GLAD Mom lives at the Residence at Freeman Lake. Not only are the staff (several of whom have been there for 5 years or more) professional and kind, the other residents are friendly and welcoming.
Mom had been home alone saying she preferred to keep to herself. However, now I always find her sitting in the lobby or dining room, clearly enjoying her interactions.
Staffing and variety of food has been an issue for sure. We understand staff shortages, but sandwiches for dinner especially with the rate increase isn't acceptable.
We moved my Mom to Freeman after a series of falls at home. The management was attentive to any questions we had during move in. I’ve always felt welcomed by the staff, the residents are even welcoming, we felt a sense of community and know this was the right place for her.
So grateful to have found Freeman Lake. Mom is very well taken care of in memory care. She needs lots of care/ attention and it’s top notch. Food is excellent. I’m there almost every night and eat there too. Great activities and the staff is absolutely wonderful. They are so kind and compassionate to all the residents. There are some very difficult families that I’ve watched demand the impossible and they still make it happen. This kind of work isn’t easy, I praise the staff!
We work closely with The Residences in providing hospice services within their community. The RCD is attentive to any of our staff that are providing care to her residents, she accurately provides care updates to our team, and is a great liaison between families, residents, doctors, and myself. We meet monthly with The ED, who also knows the residents well, and what care they would need, it’s impressive. They have catered lunches for us, and the food is top notch, the chef is friendly and drops in with treats. It’s our favorite community to visit, we laugh a lot during our visits.
I live here at the residence and am very happy with my families choice. The food is top notch and the aids are all lovely. Everyone is very helpful and amazing. The events are a good time. The other residents are friendly
The residence at freeman lake is a welcoming place very clean and everyone who works here are awesome and know how to care for my grandma. Whenever I needed something I’d ask for her and they are always there to assist
Love it here!! Caitlynn has been awesome with the care of my family member in here! Caitlynn and Desiree are the best! They have made this transition easy and are so helpful when I need them. The building is very clean and people there are friendly.
I moved into Freeman Lake about 8 months ago, when I moved in I did not think my life would be getting better. I thought it was the beginning of the end. Boy was I wrong. I started walking more in the halls and did get better. The staff is impeccable. Anything I need, outside of what they offer, [name removed] and [name removed] make it happen for me. I get great meals every day and lots of opportunities to get out and do something. I’m happy to be here, my kids helped make the right choice for me
My moms nurse at this place is one of the best that I've encountered in a long time, she is compassionate, heartfelt, dedicated to her job and goes above and beyond. She truly cares about her patients. Thank you Ms. Aaryanna for all that you do for us!!!

The residence at freeman lake are very lucky people. The environment is wonderful for my Aunt. She loves it, all the extra activities available and especially nurse Aaryanna who makes everything so much better with her approach towards people. So caring

A huge shout out to Aaryanna for helping my grandma out. I know my grandma can be difficult at times but Aaryanna can handle her. I went to visit my grandma a few weeks ago, during that time Aaryanna walked in to check up on her. Grandma was sassy and didn’t want to cooperate but Aaryanna worked around that and completed her task. Thank you Aaryanna for being patient with grandma!

I moved my cousin into this community in April. He was quickly declining living at home alone. He is thriving at Freeman Lake. He loves the activities they offer, the food is amazing, and the Staff have been so helpful during this transition. The RCD and ED are a great team and easily accessible for all questions at any hour.
I’ve had the pleasure of working at The Residence at Freeman Lake for the past nine months as the Restaurant Operations Director, and my experience has been nothing short of fantastic.
From day one, I was welcomed into a supportive and collaborative work environment. The team here is dedicated, passionate, and always ready to help each other out. This sense of camaraderie has made my time at The Residence at Freeman Lake incredibly rewarding.

From outings to Lake Winnipesaukee, to touring for Christmas lights, our residents are still adventuring to places they never thought they would see again. Freeman is an amazing residence! The staff is wonderful, Friendly & very engaging with the residents. My mom loves the food, they keep the community engaged in activities. If my mom is sick or if she falls, they call me right away to have a discussion. If the staff does not see my mom at breakfast, they will go to her room to make sure she goes to the Café for breakfast. They bring in singers, guitarists, animals, etc. for the residents to enjoy. I cannot say enough great things about the Residences at Freeman Lake! The cost is definitely high but it is not the most expensive that I visited. I highly, highly recommend the Residences at Freeman Lake!
The best place for your mom depends on her interests, needs, and preferences. Consider factors like safety, healthcare, social opportunities, and proximity to family. This company has allowed for my family to feel at ease about our mother transitioning over to an assisted living thank you for what they do.
Once we visited The Residence based on The cleanliness of the facility, bright ness of the facility, seeing the activities that was taking place, eating what the residents were eating, smiles and greetings from the staff to the residents just gave us a feeling of safety and caring.They are kind and compassionate to their residents.
The place is clean...friendly staff...the meals are ok but cost is high. I feel good because I know my mom is safe ..she seems ok and happy she is still adjusting and still thinks she can go home but no...and she is eating well and starting to walk around the facility upstairs not into socializing yet but hopefully that will come in time she really doesn't remember from day to day why she is there but like I said she's safe and that is our main focus for her! Based on the experience we have had so far, I would recommend tis community to others
Our mom was in the assisted-living side of the facility and received nothing but great care. Colleen and Jayne were so kind to our mom and treated her like family. All the staff was wonderful and always paid special attention to our mom and her needs. Recently she moved to the memory care side Reflections and we have had a great experience there with Caitlynn. Her staff have been more than welcoming and she can be reached at a moment’s notice with any concerns. We would highly recommend The Residence at Freeman Lake!
Our mom has been at the assisted-living since July and we have had a great experience! The staff is wonderful and they are always trying to improve if there are ever any issues or concerns. We would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who wants great care for their loved one!
My Mom has been at Freeman Lake for 6 months & I couldn't be happier. The staff is amazing, from the office help, the nurses, the front desk, the maintenance staff, the cafe workers! Everyone is friendly & so helpful whenever I call or visit. They all know who my Mom is & call her by name. When i was looking at places for my Mom & I visited for a tour, I knew immediately that she would love it and she does!! I cannot say enough about all of the staff at Freeman Lake! Thank you for taking such good care of my Mom!
When my 91 year old mother (now 92) arrived at the Residence from rehab in April 2023, she was weak and had to be transport in a wheelchair to meals, etc. Now she is involved in activities at the Residence, goes shopping, and using her walker she easily walks to meals and other areas of the Residence. The care she has received has not only improved her health, strength, and well being; also, for my family we feel confident and relieved knowing she is safe and being cared for by this compassionate, professional, and expert staff. We are so grateful Mom is living and thriving at The Residence. Thank you to the dedicated staff in all departments at The Residence.
Absolutely LOVE the environment here. I was treated with so much respect from the staff while visiting my papa. I was FULL of joy to see my papas face today. He explained to me how well he has been treated. If he knew how to work safari he would also rate it a 5 star.
I have to say… as a visiting nurse, this is definitely my favorite facility I’ve been in! The residents are highly spirited and the staff is very attentive. Latonya, and Desiree are always welcoming and communicate efficiently. There’s engagement throughout the day and activities/gatherings for all types of interests. I wouldn’t think twice about placing a loved one in this community.
We have just chosen the Residence for our Mom. We walked in the building and people were gathered by the fireplace singing and dancing having cocktails. A harp player, and live singing. This place is ALIVE. We laughed our entire time spent there. The staff were laughing and dancing, you could see the true connections. One of the women who lived there, made a point to stop by and let me know how fantastic her life has been since she moved in, which was nice to hear. Feels like a fun place to be when you walk in. I can’t wait til it’s my time to choose a place like this. We look forward to Mom making this her new home.
My Grandmother has been living here for the past couple years and words can’t express how amazing the staff is. I recently just went to visit my grandmother and had some questions. I spoke to an amazing nurse director, Desiree who answered every question I had. She was unbelievable that words can’t even describe how passionate and knowledgeable she was!!!!! I would recommend this place to anyone who is trying to find a great place for their family member!!!

When we moved my father into the assisted living we were nervous as a family but the place is beautiful and the whole team Desiree, Laura and Caitlyn were exceptional. Laura the sales girl was so nice through the whole process and Desiree walked us through the whole place calming any fear we may have had and we are truly grateful for the staff there. The move was alot easier than we could have ever imagine, thank you to the staff.
I am so thankful my mom is happy and safe at Freeman Lakes. We can enjoy our visits and she can have her own friends. The staff have been so accommodating and the entire building is clean. Such a relief

Staff take the time to really get to know the residents—this enables them to see if something is “off” and then pursue getting appropriate help. The kindness, patience, caring, compassion and friendship not only to my Dad, but also to me has been superb. Forever grateful!!!

I have worked for Freeman Lake one year now. I truthfully love working here. The residents are amazing. The staff is great. The Executive Director, Mrs V, is involved, caring and the best person to run this Facility. Our corporate team, Mrs J has proven to be supportive, caring and dedicated to this Residence. This is a Fantastic place to work and an even better place to live!
My mom and stepdad moved in in July 2022. The residence is bueatiful, clean and full of great activities. The staff really cares about all the residents and it shows by how they make the residents feel special. The resident care director is truely dedicated to the wellness of the folks living there and goes over and beyond to assure there safety and happiness. When it came time for my mother in law to need assisted living, my husband and I did not even have to blink an eye. We knew that The Residence at Freeman Lake would meet all her needs and then some. I can't express the peice of mind that comes with knowing your loved ones can be independent, but also have the security of wonderful care takers that treat them as family. OH!! The food!!! The menu has something for everyone and the food it GREAT!

I work in the health care community and have visits to this facility frequently. I can’t say enough about the facility and the staff. To start , the building is well kept and maintained. The staff pays great attention to detail when it comes to the residents care and needs. The patients are always happy and well cared for . There are always activities and engagements for the residents in this community they do a great job at keeping residents busy ! Caitlynn on the memory care unit is especially great! Her interaction and care for the residence is top tier. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for an assisted living !
