Major complaint is the dining room. Its what my loved ones complain about almost daily. Other than that the cost of living there is outrageous. I would recommend it for peace of mind.
We were highly recommended to visit The Residence at. Great Woods for my mother. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted and toured the community. We met the Executive Director and the Chef. He personally met us and asked about what kind of food my mother enjoys eating. We saw spacious beautiful apartments. We bumped into many residents and the community had lots of activities to choose from. My mother moved in about a month ago and she has met new friends and absolutely loves it!!
The Residence at Great Woods is a well run and the staff are all very accommodating. The facility is pretty and has a homey atmosphere.

From the first moment I walked into the community until I left with a warm box of cookies my visit couldn't have been better. Everyone was friendly and happy. I met a number of the staff members and folks that live there. Everyone smiled, said hello and welcomed me like family. All of my questions were answered and the place looked great and smelled good. When it is time for my mom to move this will be the place. Thank you!
When it came time to put our mother in a place where she would get the care that we could no longer provide, we spent a lot of time searching for the perfect place. We realized no place is perfect but based on what we had heard about The Residence we felt confident our mom would do well there. It's been about 18 months and we continue to pleased with everything about this place. The staff are friendly and more importantly, they are attentive. Unlike some places where you often times see residents hanging out in wheel chairs in various places just sitting them by themselves, The Residence always has the residents people engaged in activities. They offer good programs that keep everyone engaged which is great. Also, we learned recently that there had been a large renovation done to the facilities not too before we moved our mom in. It is such a nice place.
We needed a place for my mother and we have been touring multiple facilities in the area. The Residence at Great Woods was our favorite. Everyone from the Executive Director to the nursing staff and the restaurant were so friendly, warm and welcoming. This will definitely be our choice soon!
I was looking for a place for my mother and the staff here was so welcoming and friendly. The tour was really great. We looked at other facilities but this seemed like the warmest and best fit for us.
I am a professional musician and I play piano and sing for the residents at The Residence At Great Woods. They have a large, comfortable area with chairs and couches where people gather to listen to the music. The staff is always friendly and accommodating to the residents, making sure everyone has a place to sit, and serving refreshments after the concert. I perform a lively concert of a different theme each time I am there with music from the generation of the residents there, including fun trivia about the songs. We always have a great time. I would recommend The Residence At Great Woods as an enjoyable place to live for seniors.
Having family members staying at this facility opened my eyes to how much care and assistance the staff treats family as their own. The staff has always been easy to talk to and approachable willing to talk about issues or concerns and give their best foot forward. Having a family member there has me assured that there is no better place for loved ones to be cared for and given their best time.
It was amazing meeting the Executive Director when we stopped in for a tour. The nurse and the team were so friendly and welcoming. They've been there for more than 20 years, so it really felt like home.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Residence at Great Woods and everything at this facility has been very good for her so far. The staff are very nice, though communication with the family is lacking at times. The food is good, however it arrives cold at times. Overall, my loved one is happy at this facility. I would recommend The Residence at Great Woods to family and friends.
A heartfelt and heavy *Thank you!* to all the wonderful staff at The Residence at Great Woods. I wanted to find a place for my mom to enjoy her remaining years, but also had good people who truly cared, coupled with making the best possible decisions for someone who couldn't do that herself. Bringing my mom here was this and more. They gave her something to look forward to every day. Her nurses and staff became her family and she was content. She passed away in June and when multiple staff attended her funeral it became evident that the Residence was the best possible decision.
We took a tour of The Residence at Great Woods during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was great! The cleanliness and friendliness was great. Definitely one of our top choices.
I’m a RCA at Great Woods working in the Reflections Unit. I love working here knowing that I am helping a Resident who is unable to help themselves. The environment is clean and safe for the residents. I would recommend Great Woods to families in need of help for their loved ones.

The facility is incredible: totally designed
for the physical and psychological health and care of each person.
The private "apartment " is beautiful and well cared for. We have been allowed to make it "home" for our Aunt with family pictures anher own furnishings - which have helped her make a positive transition.The programs that are offered daily are amazing! From music, exercise & dance to special Holiday celebrations- which allows "Aunt" to interact with many others. But to me, the most VALUABLE asset of Great Woods is the Staff. Each & every one of these amazing people are so caring and knowledgeable in what they do.

My first visit to The Residence at Great Woods left an lasting impression on me. This facility is truly a haven of care and comfort for seniors seeking a nurturing and supportive environment. This facility is fortunate to have such an exceptional leader steering the facility towards excellence.
The staff is wonderful, could not have asked for a better experience. The cna’s treated us like we were their family. The food was excellent. Overall wonderful experience for our family and we highly recommend this place for your loved ones.

My in-laws had moved in to Great Woods residences respite section from the Stste of Georgia due to my mother in law s cancer diagnosis to be closer to family u til the end. From the first move in day the staff was amazing catering to their every need helping move them and meet the staff . Over the course of the nearly 3 month stay from the kitchen to the care assistants the staff made them feel welcome and comfortable in what was a very stressful time for both . Both constantly commended the staffs actions and work ethic going above and beyond Daily which for them speaks volumes as my in laws are old school and hard to please . In closing I was more than impressed and pleased with the service we received as is our entire family and would definitely recommend The Residence of Great Woods should your family need that special caring assistance.
Residence at Great Woods is wonderful place for your loved one.. our mom was very well taken care of by entire staff in Reflections. The staff became family to us. There were many daily activities. The outdoor patio was fabulous for visits and gardening.
Great Woods has been beautifully renovated. The staff is courteous and attentive both to their residents and visitors. The finest compliment is that its residents speak highly about their treatment, food and surroundings. If your needs are either for assisted living or memory care, an excellent place to consider.
The whole experience has been great from start to today.
1) LCB has ideal for us. The family member moved to the Residence at Pearl St in Reading MA who made the transition from living on their own to the independent living a smooth, respectful, dignified transition. I highly recommend them. We moved the family member to another LCB facility in order to be closer to family with the bandwidth to visit more frequently.
2) The staff at Residence at Great Woods are like extended family that really help and care. We see this when we visit and what we hear from our family member.
3) The property, maintenance, and upkeep is fantastically neat and clean when we visit 2-5 times a week.
4) Fantastic food. When I was told that the food was as good as mom made, I was impressed. I’ve never heard that high of a compliment.
I highly recommend The Residence at Great Woods for your short list of independent/assisted living or memory care.
What has made The Residences at Great Woods such a great experience so far is the large spacious single rooms and the amazing staff that goes above and beyond on a daily basis. We would 100000 % recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.
I'm understanding the following: Our loved one and family have had a good experience with The Residence at Great Woods. The staff are kind and caring towards the residents. Everyone is friendly. The dining room and food service needs some assistance for improvements for the residents. Overall, we would recommend you check out the community to see if it would be a good fit for your loved one.
[name removed] is a special key executive of Great Woods and you can easily appreicate her expertise in this field. She made my parents feel 100% comfortable, answered every question, as well as adding important key information which was not asked but related and extremely valuable. The facility was clean, impressive, and cost effective. [name removed] answer all follow up questions and provided service to us above and beyond. You should be extremely proud of your staff and the service you provide your customers. Keep up the great work, you have BIG supporters from me and my family. I would recommend this location and be an advocate for the Great Woods.
As told (and experienced) the health condition of this new resident has improved greatly within a month of becoming a resident, No longer is a walker, Physical therapy, occupational therapy and "extra care needed for her because of the great scheduling and care of the staff
We feel so fortunate to have found a wonderful place for Mom to live and call home. Everyone from the Director Tiffany to all the Care Associates, Maintenance, Nursing, Engagement, and Wait Staff have been so kind to my Mom and our family. We had just lost our Dad and we were anxious to find a residence close to home that would be safe, clean, and offer good care to our Mom with Alzheimers. Great Woods has exceeded our expectations. The best indicator of the great care my Mom is receiving, is that after the loss of her husband (after 64years), moving her from her home in New Jersey a month ago, she says she is happy. She says she laughs alot and that's what keeps her mind off of being sad. She is with other residents that know what she has gone through and feels a comraderie in her new community. All of the staff have the residents best interests at heart and go above and beyond to meet their needs with kindness and compassion! Our family feels very blessed and grateful to have found Great Woods Residence!!
Wonderful. Caring. Warm. Food was fair but all else was great. Excellent! Great care. They have a great kitchen area, that is big, clean, and updated. Absolutely would recommend. Love all the aides, nurses, management. I had previously had my loved one in a place in Florida that was cold, messy, unfriendly so this was wonderful to see how these peoples cared for the residents
We chose The Residence at Great Woods over other facilities we looked at because the apartments are new, the facility itself is spacious with lots of light, also they have a nice outside area for the reelection's neighborhood. What has stuck out about them the most is the staff, they are all very friendly and caring.
I visited this facility
The tour I had at The Residence at Great Woods was very thorough. We were shown all of the different amenities and the people were extremely friendly and very open in terms of what was available. We just got a very nice, warm feeling about the place. The two women we spoke with were very helpful and made the whole situation a lot easier.
They have a deluxe studio and a one-bedroom. They have a lot of activities during the day. There's bingo, puzzles, movies, and a van that will take them to local stores and to the doctors. They have a dining area that's very large, laundry, and a salon. You can be as independent as you want to be and then if you need assistance, they're there to help you.
My father and mother were at anther assisted living facility. My father was in a memory unit. I started a search where they both could be together in one room. I looked at quite a few places. When I saw The Residence at Great Woods my search was over. It was unlike any of the other facilities. When you enter it looks like a resort. It is bright, clean, and welcoming. The residence rooms are just as nice.
my parents are in the Reflections unit. My father has dementia. he gets disoriented. He can become angry and combative. The staff always treat him with respect. When he didn't want to go to dinner they brought 2 dinners to his room.
When I was asked by other facilities why I chose The Residence at Great Woods I simply say it is so far above other places I saw. It exceeded my expectations.
The staff is the most customer/resident focused group I have ever

they care for residents as they were thier family

I had 2 separate tours with Emily...one for the Assisted Living side and one for their "About to open" Merory Care wing. Beautiful facilty...Clean and modern with lots of amenities...Emily was very professional and answered every question I asked. I was looking for a place for my 93 year old aunt.
